Showcasing the extraordinary
talent of our survivors!
For the past two years, the Brain Injury Association Waterloo Wellington (BIAWW) has been providing a variety of art programs for our members. The participants have experienced both online and in-person art workshops led by volunteer and professional artist leaders. The BIAWW knows the importance of art in the community and we've worked hard to keep its programming available during the COVID pandemic.
In March 2022, the BIAWW had planned to hold an art exhibition to celebrate the work created by our participants. As COVID restrictions changed leading up to the event, we decided to move our exhibition to a virtual online space.
Here you will find the beautiful artwork and stories of our participants. We are honoured that they were shared with us, and we thank you for coming to visit.
Thank you to the Government of Canada for funding this project.
We offer workshops in various mediums. These are open to members and
their caregivers.
We held many virtual programs during our program, and were able to host more and more In-Person events as things opened up, This included ceramic workshops with Judy Donaldson, a pressed flower workshop with Maureen Ault, and glass fusing with Laurie Spieker.
Our programs are also extended to seniors groups. We have collaborated multiple times with The Westhill Retirement Residence.
